General Use 

  • Is the DiaExpert CGM waterproof? 
    Yes, the DiaExpert CGM is water-proof (IP68). It performs reliably during activities like swimming and showering, even when submerged up to 2 meters for 60 minutes.   Long baths, showers and swims may affect the adhesiveness of the patch. Protect your sensor from shower / bath / sun creams. Consider using an overpatch or plaster.  
  • Where should I apply the DiaExpert CGM sensor? 
    The tested and recommended application areas are the back of the upper arms. 
  • How should I prepare my skin before applying the sensor? 
    Wash the application site with soap and water, dry it completely, and clean it with alcohol pads. Avoid oily residue to ensure proper adhesion.  ⚠️ Note: Allow the skin to dry completely after using an alcohol wipe. Applying the sensor to damp skin may reduce adhesion or cause skin irritation. Some people have sensitive skin and may prefer to use water and soap instead of alcohol.
  •  How do I apply the DiaExpert CGM sensor? 
    Remove the cover from the sensor applicator, remove the desiccant block, align the applicator with the chosen skin area, press it firmly, and activate the insertion button. 
  • Is the DiaExpert CGM suitable for children? 
    The clinical approval for use for children is expected soon. The device will then be approved for use by  children under the supervision of a caregiver or healthcare professional. 
  • Is the DiaExpert CGM suitable for pregnant women? 
    The DiaExpert CGM has not been tested on pregnant women.
  • Where can I find the instructions for use?

    The DiaExpert CGM sensor is being delivered with a Quick Start Guide inside the box. If you require further information, please refer to the Instruction Manual in the Help Center in the DiaExpert CGM app. Additionally, you can find the Instructions for Use on the Downloads & Manuals page.

  • How often does the DiaExpert CGM update glucose readings? 
    The DiaExpert CGM provides real-time glucose readings every minute. 
  • What alarms and alerts are available? 
    The DiaExpert CGM has six customizable alarms, including low glucose, rapidly dropping glucose, and critical low glucose alerts. Users can set thresholds for optimal glucose management. 
  • Is the DiaExpert CGM compatible with insulin pumps? 
    No, the current version of the DiaExpert CGM is not compatible with insulin pumps. 
  • How long does the sensor last? 

    Each DiaExpert CGM sensor lasts for 15 days of continuous use before requiring replacement. 

  • Can I share my glucose data with others? 
    Yes, you can share glucose data with up to 20 followers.  You can share your glucose data with healthcare providers using the DiaExpert Pancares data management platform. 
  • Does the DiaExpert CGM require calibration?
    Calibration is not required for the DiaExpert CGM, but it is possible if needed or desired.

    Yes, the DiaExpert-Sensor app is available for both iOS and Android platforms. 
  • Does the DiaExpert CGM provide alerts for dangerous glucose levels? 
    Yes, it provides real-time alerts for high or low glucose levels, ensuring prompt action can be taken. 
  • Can I use the DiaExpert CGM while traveling?
    Yes, the DiaExpert CGM is portable and travel-friendly. Just carry spare sensors and follow airline guidelines for medical devices. 
  • How do I pair the DiaExpert CGM with my smartphone? 
    Download the DiaExpert CGM app, activate your sensor, and follow the on-screen instructions to connect via Bluetooth. 
  • Is the DiaExpert CGM data encrypted and secure?
    Yes, all your personal and glucose data is encrypted and securely stored, ensuring privacy. 
  • What is the size and weight of the DiaExpert CGM sensor? 
    The DiaExpert CGM sensor is 22mm in diameter, 4.2mm in height, and weighs just 2.2 grams. It is lightweight and discreet for daily wear.
